Trying to buy a house need to improve credit score?
Please only want professional advice or advice from people who know about the topic…
I have ,000 saved (I already know this could help fix my credit….that is not question). I have someone who would co-sign for the house (I know if I have bad credit a co-signer doesn’t do any good…that is not my question). I am looking at properties for under ,000 dollars.
Currently my fico score ranges from 530-620 depending on which one you look at (the loan lender looked at the lower one).
I have read in several places that paying off your debt in collections does no good because the mark will remain on your credit report. I read the way to go about fixing your debt is to mail a letter in to whatever collection agencies (supposely this is the best way to deal with them because they might try to slip you up by phone which can renew an old debt to most recent debt) and request they remove the item if you state you will pay in full if they do this (I have tried this and NO reply back). How can I raise my score if this is the case…it doesn’t erase and even when I attempt to pay via mail I get nothing…suggestions?
I have done alot of reading on how to fix credit and all I get is how to fix credit in credit card terms. I have never owned a credit card. So it erks me when I want to know how to fix my credit.
Also, if paying you debt on collections does nothing to improve you fico score doesn’t it aleast pay down your overall debt on your credit report….and doesn’t that help in terms of debt to income/asset ratio. I believe payment history is 30% or so and wouldn’t paying debt help in this aspect to help improve my fico score???
Additionally, I only need to raise my credit by about 50-70 pts to reach 600(says the loan officer). Which is about 2 or 3 items on my own credit report.
Please I need good advice
Thanks

Should I trade in my car or refinance?

Ok background
My credit score ranges between 580-605 between the 3 credit companies.
I have a 2005 Ford Escape. I currently owe ,000
This car was co-signed with by another person. I now need to get their name off of it. So I have two choices: I can refinance it or I can trade it in for a new/used car. I can’t private sale it because I owe more than it’s worth.
I have been leaning towards trading it in because I now do a lot of driving each day. I would like to purchase a Mazda3 and the extra gas mileage would save me about 0 a month at the minimum.
What is my best option? If I buy used I would like to go thru carmax because I like the idea of no hassle and the guarentees they offer. I would also have to finance thru a dealer because I do not know of any banks or credit unions that do upside down car loans.
Sorry for the spill! Please HELP! I’m trying to make a good long term decision…should I trade it in use the saved gas money for extra payments or what? THANKS!
People with fair credit ONLY…. please advice?

I am rebuilding my credit and wanted to know from those that have done the same ~ what was your credit score when you were finally able to get a credit card (unsecured) and with waht company.
I have no other debt besides a car loan (never been late) and trying to establish my credit worthiness. I have 7 good standing accounts and 5 bad accounts (30 day late payments)
My score ranges from 610-625 ~ some say it’s fair and some say it’s poor.
What kind of car loan am I looking at with my credit score?
I am interested in buying a used car. I currently have my eye on a used 2006 Toyota Tundra, priced at ,000. Online estimates for tax and title come out to about ,500. My credit score ranges from 631 to 660, depending on what credit bureau you ask. My credit has also been steadily rising the past couple years due to better credit management.
I currently have a ,000 down payment. I guess my total amount financed will be between ,500 – ,000.
What am I looking at here in terms of a loan? What kind of interest rate should I be expecting? What kind of payment will I be looking at for a 3, 4, and 5 year loan?
I know that’s a lot of questions to ask and I thank you in advance for taking the time to answer.

How much will my husbands credit score go up?
My husband had a lot of debt in his younger days and wasn’t very good with bills (until he met me) He was slowly trying to pay stuff off until his mother passed away in November and he completely paid off ALL his debt problem is a lot of the companies didn’t report it to the credit bureau so therefore he has 4 negatives saying he owes them and 2 public records saying he was sued except everything is paid off and he paid off the 2 public records before he was sued.. so therefore he should have nothing negative on his report.. we are in the process of disputing these but it could take about a month.. we are trying to get a loan for a home and right now his credit score ranges from 550 to 590 we need a 620 for a loan and these are the negatives on his report
Balance,568.00
Balance1.00
Balance2.00
Balance9.00
Public Records
Liability,933.00
Liability,622.00
How much will his score go up after EVERYTHING above is disputed and taken off of his report? I have good credit but am a full time college student and virtually unemployed (work a few days a month for some extra money) and my husband has a good job but not such a great past.. will his score go up to 620 Thanks for any and all help ![]()
So even if he has zero negatives on his credit report it wont make his score go up AT ALL? I mean surely it would some even though it still says it was delinquent at one point shouldn’t paying it off have some good effect? I mean to me that just isn’t fair and doesn’t make since I don’t understand how it wouldnt’ go up at all
Qualifying for apartment – income good but credit shaky?

I make 4 times the amount of the monthly rent payment, but my credit score ranges from 586-632 (depending on which credit bureau they check). It has been steadily improving for the past 3 years, most delinquencies are 4-5 years old. Will I have a problem?
Is my Credit Score good??
Posted in: Credit Score Good Range Tags: credit score, different ways, experian, myfico, score ranges
I recently checked my credit score on Experian and it said that it is 722 on a scale of 501-990 and then I estimated my credit score on MyFICO and is says that my score ranges from 705-755. Are these GOOD?? Average? Bad? Are there different ways to score credit?
